The Brain Injury Project

Having suffered not one but three major brain haemorrhages before the age of 30, Rani Vincent knows a thing or two about brain injuries. During each of her recoveries, she had to re-learn many day-to-day activities that we all take for granted, including how to walk and talk. While many people believe brain injuries are the domain of the elderly, a startling number of young people are affected by brain injury conditions. Which is why Rani’s brief for the Brain Injury Project brand was to create something which would appeal to a younger audience. At the core, the Brain Injury Project is focused on improving the quality of life for those who have been affected by brain injury, fostering a positive and empowered mindset, promoting a healthy brain lifestyle and harnessing the power of a supportive and uplifting global community.

The Brain Injury Project was born out of a desire to help improve the quality of life for those who have been affected by brain injury. The brand needed to resonate with the target audience, to facilitate the creation of a supportive and uplifting community, which promotes a healthy brain lifestyle. The organisation also provides a rich source of information and resources to help individuals build a positive mindset.

While many people believe brain injuries are the domain of the elderly, a startling number of young people are affected by brain injury conditions. We created a brand that spoke to this young target market, using bold colours to communicate the energy and personality of The Brain Injury’s founder, Rani Vincent. The brand’s joyful identity was then rolled out across a website and social media platforms.

When I started The Brain Injury Project in 2017, I was at the beginning of my recovery process from brain haemorrhage number 3. Peta from Talk Ink. was not only incredibly understanding and empathetic, she really took the time to understand the importance of why I wanted to create this project and then turned it into a powerful brand. From designing the logo to the colour schemes and overall brand feel, she excelled. Not only did she do these things, she also designed and helped build a website that reflected what I wanted. Her attention to detail is meticulous! She puts so much effort into producing something that is truly outstanding. I cannot recommend her work highly enough!
